How to shorten the learning curve in Forex trading

Many newbies want quick success in trading. They keep hunting high and low for the quick tips from analysts, friends etc. The truth is, there is no quick fix rule. Both serious and casual traders dream of making an avalanche of money. You need to have lots of preparations and dedications. You need to treat it as a business, and very serious with thorough knowledge and plans.

Before I started forex trading I was trading in stocks. Like many successful traders, I am mentored too. Even the world richest and greatest investor is mentored too. Yes, Warren Buffet is mentored by Benjamin Graham. Have you read the book - The Intelligent Investor as above?

1st thing 1st, my idea of introducing a good mentor is to let you know that your trading success can be shortened. However, you still need to be in constant read up of new books, attending related seminars, and reviews your trading plan - drop those that fail and keep those that work. Just like many successful business model, money is invested constantly in learning before marketing. If you think spending money on good books or good courses are a waste of money, you will be in great shocked to know that it may cost you much more - a quick wipe out of your trading account.

Even after reading some books or attending courses do not rush to trade. It takes experience to execute a successful trade. You need to check if your computer and Internet are up to the standard - fast, big screen or multi-screen etc ? Please paper trade till you are successful before trading with real money. Some may take 3 months while some may take a year or more, please be patience.

The skill I acquired from technical analysis and Japanese candlesticks charting can be put into great use for forex trading. Must admit that forex fundamental analysis is slightly different from stock trading. However, with a good mentor and some reading of related books, it will shortened your learning curve. Stay tune ...
